Why I prescribe remedies to my clients
Although a few people might book a Vedic astrology consultation simply out of curiosity, this in definitely not the norm.
In 99 percent of all cases, they’re seeking guidance because they feel stuck, unhappy or frustrated. Things aren’t going their way, which is causing suffering. They want to understand why and when (or if) things will finally get better.
With its many predictive timing techniques, Vedic astrology can offer insight into these types of questions. But it can also offer healing.
Imagine you go to the doctor because you’re not feeling well. He runs a few tests and then sat you down and described your symptoms and disease. His diagnosis is impressive. He explains your disease and why it makes you feel the way you do.
So far, so good.
“Ok doc, but what should I do to get better?” you ask.
But he just scratches his head and says, “I have absolutely no idea.”
To be honest, that’s often how I felt when I was practicing Western astrology. I could see the issues in a person’s chart that were causing them difficulties and pain, but I couldn’t suggest a real way to help them transform these issues. Understanding is an important first step, but I wanted to offer my clients more than that.
That’s exactly what I found in Vedic astrology. The remediation techniques this system offers have been in use for thousands of years.
What this means is that a Vedic astrology consultation isn’t just abut getting confirmation about what is wrong and when it might end. You also are given tools and techniques to speed up the process, gain strength and clarity and let go of that which no longer serves you – for both internal and external obstacles and suffering.
In this way, Vedic astrologer are truly “karma doctors” who have the ability to provide the necessary “medicine” and solutions, not just diagnosis.
A three-part series
As I mentioned in the podcast, I’m going to do a three-part series on remedies in the upcoming weeks.
The next part will be about the mechanics of remedies and will address questions like “Will remedies always give me what I want?” (spoiler alert: the answer is no). The third part will be a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how I prescribe remedies to my clients.
If you have any specific questions about remedies or anything else related to Vedic astrology, feel free to ask them in the Astro Question Box.
