Astro Weather Report: the Dance between Venus and Jupiter

In today’s post, I discuss Venus’ move into Pisces, where she will remain until May after going retrograde in March. She will be together with Rahu and in a tight exchange with Jupiter until May mid-May, and remain in Pisces until May 31.

Here are some thoughts to add to what I mentioned in the podcast.

In my podcast, I talked about this energy in a more archetypal fashion. So, how might it show up in the world in concrete terms?

This will depend on the country in question and how this transit is interacting with its astrological chart.

However, here are a few ideas for the types of stories we might see in the headlines over the next few months related to this astro mix:

• Venus stands for women, and Jupiter stands for the judicial system. During this period, we may see some prominent court cases that involve women’s issues, particularly something involving a sex scandal. This may also involve a beautiful, femme fatale type of woman. Since Venus is also the entertainment industry, this could also show up as a film or television show being released during this time that deals with these types of topics.

• In Pisces in particular, Venus stands for luxury goods or the luxury goods/fashion industry. We may see some court cases or news about some scandals or unusual developments here as well. On a more positive note, this could just mean deals made with foreign investors (Rahu) in the luxury sector, including the high-end wine or alcohol industry.

• Venus can stand for life-saving drugs or those involving longevity, and Rahu stands for poison. Jupiter stands for financial institutions as well as top political and administration positions. I could be possible that funding is made either privately or by government institutions to develop technically toxic drugs that save people from life threatening diseases (e.g., chemotherapy) or aid at extending life. Strides and advancements in this field may be made during this time.

• A powerful, possibly very wealthy woman may rise as a head of state or into a high administrative position through potentially manipulative or deceitful means.

What this transit means for you

Rahu has been making his mischief in the Pisces house in your sidereal chart for around eighteen months now.

For example, if you have pisces rising, you may have experienced unexpected or surprising problems with your health or difficulty making decisions during this period. If you have Sagittarius rising, this may have shown up as anxiety or confusing emotions related to home or mother, or your mother may have had a health crisis. There’s nothing more that Rahu like to do than pull the rug out from under you, especially just when you’re starting to get comfortable. However, when Saturn joins Rahu in Pisces on March 29 — the day of a solar eclipse nonetheless–what was an occasional dry and nasty wind from Rahu will turn into a hurricane.

But try not to fret: this beautiful exchange between Venus and Jupiter has significant power to cushion the blow and bring mercy and grace to a transit that would otherwise be quite tough between March 29 and May 18, when both Saturn and Rahu hang out in Pisces.

Therefore, consider it a cosmic and protective energetic gift as well as a much smoother segueway between Saturn entering the Pisces house in your chart and Rahu exiting it.
