Some astrologers insist that you need stones that haven't been heat treated and that are super good quality, but what I've learned is that it just needs to be good quality, have good clarity and hopefully be ethically sourced, if that's possible to trace. Do you remember why the astrologer prescribed a yellow sapphire and why the left hand? Were they someone who has deep knowledge of gemstone theory? Your Jupiter is in its own sign in the 8th and it is pretty unusual to wear the stone of the 8th lord. I also don't see why it would make sense to lessen the effects of the planet (left hand) since it's in it's own sign. It does have some difficult aspects and is low in degrees, so some help would make sense, but I personally don't think a stone is the best approach to remedy these issues. However, there are the rules and the exceptions to the rules which I might not have enough knowledge of gemstone theory to understand.. By the standard rules I do know, I would say it seems more likely that the stone would bring complications rather than benefits.
was nothing that serious! I just liked yellow sapphire and my husband got me a ring as a present and it only fits my left ring finger. The only gem I was recommended was an emerald choker but I didn't have the 18,000 needed for one the size recommended.
Yeah, that's the problem with gemstone remedies. Sometimes what they recommend is only for the super rich! If no astrologer recommended the yellow sapphire for some obscure, breaking-the-rules reason, then I think you should take it off, or at least not wear it constantly. Your Jupiter could use some remediation in the form of pacifying (puja, donation, etc.), but a gemstone is no good, especially one worn on the left hand that is actually reducing its power and influence. Jupiter is really important for a strong immune system and the 8th house is the house chronic illness. Reducing Jupiter's strength there is definitely no bueno.
Looking at my yellow sapphire on my left hand, where jupiter is my fifth house Lord.....
BUT! Its not one of those ultra astrological gemstone quality ones.....? oh lord....
